National gingerbread house day so time to celebrate with the world’s most underrated cookie Julie Ortiz is at the dentist office encouraging people to play with their food this just seems so it seems so wrong it does seem so wrong but it’s also so right and so amazing okay we are at the Orchid Family Dentistry say hello everybody say hello oh my gosh these fabulous folks let me tell you they don’t play when it comes to gingerbread house making my friends take a look at all of this amazingness they are all inspired by something clearly someone just got a beagle I know right I mean this is not your grandma’s gingerbread house okay they literally take it to the next level this is their sixth year doing this okay it has become a tradition not only for the people here that work here in this office but for their patience I mean do you know anybody who actually tries to set their appointments during the summer year I sure don’t but let me tell you they do because they want to come in isn’t that hilarious and they want to participate and vote as well this is so amazing and even better it started as a way to like kind of a bonding thing for the whole office so cool I’ve got Dr Orchid with us this morning good morning to you good morning and this is Lauren who informed us that this competition was happening at him well let me tell you something we love competitions on good day so yeah we need to see this so tell me this is something that you started several years ago as a way to kind of bonding for the whole team yeah it was uh it was just um it was just an idea that we had and it was a fun bonding thing and and the patients just love it and it got bigger and bigger every year and and you can see it’s it’s really really complicated now it’s really it’s really hard to win now okay so you said they were throwing it in the competition so what is the what is the big problem well um the patients who uh guess the right winner get entered into a raffle and they get a nice gift card and the team members who get picked as the winners get a nice little gift card as well so I like that idea okay my friend so let’s go through oh yeah and bragging rights I mean obviously the most important thing okay Lauren let’s go through some of these and show me some of the themes and inspiration so this is a completely traditional home um super super cute it just is inspired by tradition and uh and so they the doctor doctor you provide the kids but then everybody kind of adds their own thing yes absolutely so we don’t have to use the candy necessarily but um we can do as much as we want or as little as we want and uh some people go way overboard we’ve got Jurassic Park I love dinosaur eating out got it okay then come over here look at this you guys look at these little snowman right so cute you said was that from a movie so that one was inspired from You’ve Got Mail yes and um the shop around the corner yeah so that one’s super cute use a little ice cream waffle cone in there how about this so that that one is um inspired from a Sacramento house so it’s a super traditional Sacramento home um yeah oh yeah in downtown yes okay that one over there so we’ve got another Jurassic Park theme um just to eat in that house going crazy going crazy demolished it someone clearly loves the minions over here so we’ve got a minion home and so all the little minions a lot of team members here with we’ve got to we’ve got doctor yeah we’ve got Dr Orcutt back there oh so yeah that one’s super fun okay you guys this one inspired by a fire station in Sacramento station four which I love um it’s in the eastac area so so cute isn’t that great I love love that how about this so another traditional home this person is actually it’s her first year she’s never even built a gingerbread house ever and she knocked it out of the park she came to play okay and then the Beagle one that is very very cute loves her dog and did the home oh my gosh I am telling you we gotta we gotta work on ours if we’re gonna jump at this competition okay so they have until the 22nd to vote you might get some new patients in the in the next couple of weeks all right you might get some new patients because people might want to vote but how cool you guys what a great way and now it’s become a tradition not only for them but for their patients as well Miss Joan over here a few years back she won because what did you build I did a winery that’s my girl right there that’s my girl oh my gosh doctor thank you so much to all of you so fun
So normally dentists discourage people from eating sweets but a local dentist office is hosting a gingerbread competition with sweet masterpieces julisa was in Fair Oaks this morning giving us a look at the entries in the contest okay you guys if you are looking for ideas or maybe some tips on how to build your gingerbread house I’ve got just the crew to help us out we are at the dorit family dentistry this morning and they put on an annual gingerbread contest gingerbread house contest and oh my goodness I showed you a couple of the entries already the detail that they put into this is so incredible all right I’m ready to show you a couple of more I got to bring in Dr or with us this morning this is so fantastic and also I was here last year and yet again your crew delivered they’re they’re amazing yes they they uh they’re very uh they’re just amazing at this type of thing very detail oriented detail oriented okay let’s talk about this one I mean the amount of candy canes here look at this Christmas tree I know it just makes me really want to take this and eat it right you’ve got candy cane Gardens is that whaty Gardens oh my goodness so cute what do we have here Santa’s a Snack Shack it’s a like a food truck yes and I you know what I love is that they add on so much they all start with a basic kit but then they can add on as much as they want exactly yeah they have to use the kit they can add on like you said as much as they want or as little as they want and they can do anything they want to as long as they use the kit that’s that’s the only we have and they have to use up birs uh I think this one right here we’ve got a king fan for sure looks like it I mean light the beam of course you going to get all the kings fans voting for this one who who doesn’t like the beam yeah right I mean that’s amazing I love the sprinkles there you got the basketball hoop and then you’ve got the skyline too yeah that’s pretty cool whoever did that was very uh creative very creative indeed okay and then over here I feel like this is a perfect uh for those family game nights oh yeah definitely cand land who hasn’t played Candy Land right I do have to ask you since you are a dentist does this like make your teeth cringe a little bit oh no we we eat this all the time you should see our break room it’s full of candy we might have to take a sneak and peek there okay what do we have here we have our our uh just so cute yeah just a a regular gingerbread traditional gingerbread house oh my gosh I love it still liks lots of candy lots of candies okay so they eat like I said start with the foundation of the kit right and you guys have all participated Lauren you participated in all seven let’s see who participated in three so far someone in three okay yeah three so far now do you feel like it gets easier each time no I feel like it gets harder it’s hard to come up with ideas and every year I show up and I’m like wow wow stiff competition what a fun way to bring you all together right yeah defitely patients like will try and plan their appointments to come in during the time that we have these out like patients love it so it’s so fun and the whole office smells like gingerbread I mean you got to love that you got to love that and speaking of the patients so if you are a patient here at the oran Family Dentistry you get to vote right voting is open until the 22nd of this month and then if you are not a patient you are in luck you can also place your vote uh you can do that on their social media platforms we’ve got that linked up to ours as well you guys I bow down to you I mean these are amazing so fabulous I cannot wait to see who wins of course the biggest prize bragging rights of course for the next year right yeah they’re all in for that and then of course they also get some fabulous gift cards as well best of luck to all of you again don’t forget you have until the 22nd to place your vote all right back over
Good day Sac I’m H hanging out this morning at the Orchid Family Dentistry with the coolest crew let me just tell you good morning I mean first of all I love all this hold on I just saw this little pocket how cute I got a pouch I got a kangaroo pouch that is so cute it’s like I totally fit right in right and look at this suit I mean Dr Orchid your patients must love you so cute I mean and you say it’s comfortable too oh yeah it is yeah hot but that’s okay okay so you guys I don’t know if you remember but I came here last year because they do a gingerbread contest and it is like next level so of course I could not wait to come back and let me tell you once again they delivered all seven entries are here okay this is now your seventh annual gingerbread contest how did this even start we just wanted to do a team building uh uh thing and and we just thought let’s let’s build gingerbread houses and and let’s you know have a competition because these girls are competitive and they pay attention to detail too and so we thought this would be great for them so my okay and it all starts you all kind of start on the same playing field right you all get a kit that you have to use yes and you add on yep we can do whatever we want but we have to use every piece of the kit okay okay so let’s show off a couple here all right this one okay this is clearly a Lego fan right oh yeah definitely a Lego fan maybe somebody who has a kid at home maybe they’re not they all have entries in this okay they’re all they all have a house but they can’t tell me right because we can all vote right so you don’t have to be a patient here okay let’s talk about this one the detail in this one do look the look at the Tooth Fairy look at the faces on the tooth fairies you’ll see everybody here so funny you got pictures right here and col collection here oh my goodness okay I need to know how many of you have participated in all seven competitions what is when do you start kind of thinking about your theme and what you’re going to do for your gingerbread house I already know next year’s how many of the competitions have you won two two okay all right I feel like last year I remember a minion right y I did the minions oh my goodness that one was fun how how long does it take you guys to build these several days now I see the competition is fierce here do you allow your kids and family to help you yes absolutely the day after Thanksgiving my whole family could work on it yet everybody else no no no no no I have a toddler he’s not touching that oh no oh my go okay now what when do you start thinking about your theme mine is planned for next year as well I am telling you they mean business okay Doctor Fierce competition what are the prizes here well there’s there’s there’s at least three winners and sometimes I might surprise them with more winners but they all get really nice gift cards for for Christmas so I love it definitely a team bonding event oh my gosh that you all look forward so cute okay you guys so if you are a patient here at the Orchid family DST Dentistry you can enter your vote right you have until December 22nd if you are not you are still in luck you can of course enter your vote on the social media platforms which we’ve got all linked up to ours all right I only showed you two for a reason CU I got to show you four more and or five more I think right five more um and they are amazing I’m going to give you one little hint if you’re a Kings fan you might want to stick around okay that’s all I’m saying that’s all she saying okay you get that little nugget that’s all saying and then you got to stick around okay yeah looks but also can we just talk about the holiday amazingness right here right yes everybody got the memo clearly they UND everybody understood the assignment yes yes that is awesome thank thank you
